To Add a New Book to the Shelfari Shelf
· Scan the book’s barcode (usually on the back cover)
o Shelfari will show you an image of the book.
o Sometimes several possible covers are shown, representing different editions of the same book. The one to the far left is usually the matching edition.
· Click on the little blue “ADD” button beneath the cover.
o You’ll see a pop-up box that says “Have you read this?” Ignore that part.
· Click on the “My Tags” tab along the bottom edge of the pop-up box.
· Enter the tag:
o odum library call# [call number]
o You can copy and paste the call number from the online catalog, including the prefix POPULAR.
o NOTE: Shelfari will not use capital letters in tags, the whole tag will be in lower case, so capitalizing is futile.
· Click on “Save & Next”
· Click on “Done”
